Who it's for

Troop leaders and their co-leaders. Troop Binder started as one leader's replacement for a three-ring binder full of trackers, and it's open to any troop that wants the same thing. It works for every level, from the youngest girls to the oldest, and it's designed for a phone first, so it's useful in the middle of a meeting, not just at a desk.

Nothing. There are no ads, no upgrades to buy, and no card to enter.

Who can see my troop's information

Only the people you let in. Every troop is a sealed binder:

Your co-leaders join with an invite code you control, and you can retire it any time.
No other troop can see your binder, and you can't see theirs.
The site owner can see that your troop exists and can approve or pause it, but cannot open your binder.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored encrypted, and repeated wrong sign-ins are locked out.

Where the data lives

On a private server run by the site owner, not rented space at a big cloud company. It's backed up every night, with a second copy kept on a separate machine. You can download your troop's finance data to a spreadsheet whenever you like, and if your troop ever leaves, ask and your binder is deleted.

Please check with your council. Councils have their own rules about where member information may be kept. Troop Binder is a volunteer-run tool, and you're responsible for making sure it fits your council's policy before you enter girls' details.

Is this an official scouting product?

No. Troop Binder is an independent volunteer project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Girl Scouts of the USA or any council. Badge, journey, and award names belong to their respective owners and appear here only so you can track your own troop's progress.

How to start

Your troop already uses Troop Binder? Tap "New here? Create an account," choose Join my troop, and enter the invite code from your leader.
Starting fresh? Choose Start a new troop, enter your troop number and council, and create your account. You become that troop's admin. The site owner approves new troops, usually within a day, and you'll get an empty binder ready for your girls.
